Desi Hip Hop
Desi Hip Hop also known as Desi Rap Music means doing Hip Hop in someone's native language. As the term desi rap itself suggests it's mean i.e Doing Rap in Desi language. Desi Hip Hop is a term used in the India Subcontinent including countries like India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan. At the starting Hip Hop was started back in America by the back Africans to show their protests against the White people. I mean against the American people for showing blacks disrespect all the time.
Forms of Hip Hop Music - Funk, Rhythm & Blues, Disco, Electronic Music, Reggae, etc.
In This we will be using two terms

Hip hop is a English word and people used to rap in this langauge only. It wHer eas originated in The Bronx, New York City way back in 1970s by the African Americans and Latino Americans. It is now the most popular music form in United States Of America. This lead to a new formation of music known as Hip Hop Music Or Rap Music. At present most of us are Hip Hop lovers. Now the whole world is taking this as blessings and are also trying their hands in Hip Hop Music in their native language.

Tupac - One of the greatest artists of all times. He was killed in 1996 by his rivals. Some of his greatest hits include All Eyes On Me, Dear Mama, Me Against the World and Better Dayz to name a few. He was also involved in films and acted in some movies too.
Nas -He was an American Rapper and was one of the most influential rappers of all times. Some of his hit Albums include Illmatic, It was Written and Still Matic. Last year he released King's desease. Nas also known Mass Appeal India, which is very active in India.
Easy-E - He was involved in Propelling West Coast Rap and Gangsta Rap music. He was the main leader of N.W.A group and it's label, Ruthless Records. Some of his tracks include We want Eazy, Boyz-N-the-Hood and Real Mutherfukkin G's.
Jay-Z - Jay-z is the another name in the list. To be honest he is a legend and termed as One of the greatest Hip Hop artists of the Times. He is married to Pop Singer Beyonce, who is also a big name in the music industry.
Eminem - He is a legend. I mean he is everyone's favourite rapper in the recent time. No one match his level when it comes to Hip Hop Music. I mean he is a Master Mind. Few of his Albums include Kamikaze, The Marshal Mathers LP, The Slim Shady LP and The Eminem Show.
Kayne West - He has been involved in the development of Hip Hop Music. He also gets some credits for popularising Hip Hop Music in Main Stream Music. He is Married to Kim Kardashian.
Lil Wayne -He is was in born in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Some of his work include The Carter I-V, Funeral, The Block is Hot and Free Weezy Album.
Snoop Dogg - He is a American Rapper and Media personality came to fame when he was featured in Dr. Dre's debut solo Album "Deep Cover" in 1992.
Dr. Dre - Dr. Dre is a American Rapper, record producer, music engineer in sort he is a music Master Mind. He is the CEO of AfterMath Entertainment and Beats Electronics. He was also the CEO of Death Row Records.
The Notorious B.I.G. - He is a New York based Gangsta Rapper. He is also known as Biggie smalls and termed as one of the great rappers of all times.
Some Other Notable Artists - Drake, Kendrik Lamar, Pitbull, Wiz khalifa and Machine Gun Kelly to name a few.

Desi Hip Hop Origin and
language
The origin of Desi hip hip term is credited to Bohemia The Punjabi Rapper. He was the first artist to actually rap in a Desi language i.e. Punjabi and launched his first Album in 2002. Followed by his full length Punjabi Rap Album " Pesha Nasha Pyar" in 2006 which got a huge response from the audience and was a instant hit. He also did title track for Akshay Kumar's movie, " Chandni Chauk To China" And featured in the song with Akshay Kumar and Dipika. This led to a huge growth in the Desi hip hop scene and after that many artists from the Indian Subcontinent tried their hands in Rao Music. Today artists are rapping in more than 200 languages worldwide and it continues to grow. There were also few artists like Apache Indian and Baba Sehgal who used to rap but they were not proper rappers. Bohemia was the first proper hip hop artist who made it to the Mainstream. Yo Yo Honey Singh popularised the Hip Hop moment and this created opportunity for others Desi young artist to start their Career in this field.

Bohemia - He is credited as the creator of Desi Hip Hop and Punjabi Rap Music. He started his career way back in 2002. He featured in America's top Magazine XXL. His contribution to Desi hip hop can't be denied. Few of his Hit Tracks Include Ek Tera Pyar, Kali Denali, Kurti, Sahara, Patola ft. Guru Randhawa, Jaguar and Koi Farak Nahi.
Yo Yo Honey Singh - Honey Singh is the main reason for getting hip hop scene to this level what it is today. Somehow to be real, he was not a proper hip hop artist but still he is best in the game. Love Dose, High Heels, Dope Shoppe, Desi kalakar are his few popular tracks.
Badshah - Badshah was one of the members of Mafia Mundeer group created by Honey Singh. Badshah is a genius when it comes to music. DJ Waley Babu, Heartless and Kala chasma are few of his hit tracks.
Raftaar - Raftaar was also a crew member of Mafia Mundeer.He started as a dancer and also gave auditions in many Shows. At present he is very much successful rappers I India. His songs include, Baby Marvake manegi, Sharabi, dhakad and Sniper.
Divine - Divine came to lime light with his track Mere Gully mein with his hommie Naezy. Gully Boy was scripted on this young boy for his contribution.
Emiway Bantai - Emiway became popular after his beef with Rapper Raftaar over a controversy. He released back to back tracks and all of them were overnight hit. His songs like Machayenge and Katam Hue Wande were instant hit.
Young Stunners - Young Stunners is a hip hop group from Pakistan. Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus, these two are just fire. Few of their tracks include Karachi Mera, Quarantine song, Gumaan, Asli hai and Cali 2 karachi.
Krsna - He is a young talent signed to Kalamkaar. He is a lyrical genius. Few of his tracks include Sare karo Dab, Cali 2 Karachi and Warm Up.
Addy Nagar - He belongs to Gaziabad and gave many hits like Ishq Ka Raja, Saavan and Santa Clause.
Young Desi - He is very talented guy. His lyrics are extra ordinary for a normal person. His tracks include Blah Blah Blah, Coca Cola and Main Aur Sheedha.
